To post or not to post is the question. Well not really because with Mandy Rena Photography that choice is 100% yours. In today’s digital age, privacy is more crucial than ever—especially for me as a family photographer. Capturing beautiful moments for families is a rewarding job, but it also comes with responsibilities, particularly regarding how we handle and protect sensitive information. I understand that every family has their own views regarding their children and their online presene. That is why I allow you to let me know how you would like your images shared or not shared digitally. So what are the ways that MRP handels different digital privacy for clients? There are a few different choices for your family.
When you provide a full model release, it allows me the freedom to share any photos I believe capture the essence of our session on social media and my website. Having a full model release means I can choose images that truly reflect the beauty and uniqueness of your family, whether they’re candid shots, posed portraits, or those delightful, spontaneous moments. Additionally, a model release enables me to tag you when I share your images. This feature makes it incredibly easy for you to share these cherished moments with your friends and family, creating a wonderful opportunity for you to spread the joy of your beautiful memories
In recent years, one popular request I’ve encountered from clients is the preference for photos that don’t feature their children’s faces facing the camera. While I most commonly receive this request during newborn sessions, it’s not limited to just those. Many parents are becoming increasingly mindful of their children’s privacy in our digital age, and I wholeheartedly support this approach. To ensure that I can create the most meaningful and fulfilling experience for you, I encourage clients to communicate this preference before our session. By discussing your privacy wishes ahead of time, I can incorporate specific poses and angles into our shoot that align with your vision. This proactive approach not only helps me plan the session effectively but also ensures we capture stunning images that meet your needs.
I completely understand that many clients feel hesitant about requesting certain privacy preferences, especially when it comes to sharing photos of their children online. It’s important to recognize that you have every right to choose how and where your child’s images are shared. If you prefer not to have your child’s photos posted online, I want to assure you that I wholeheartedly respect that choice. Over the years, I’ve worked with numerous families who have similar concerns. Many of my long-term clients specifically request that I refrain from sharing their children’s photos on social media or my website. This is not only a valid preference but also a thoughtful decision that reflects the unique dynamics of each family.
Navigating the sharing of your child’s photos can be straightforward and stress-free with open communication. As your family photographer, my goal is to respect your wishes while capturing the beautiful moments you want to cherish. By establishing clear guidelines from the start, we can work together to create lasting memories while ensuring your family’s privacy remains intact. Let’s make your photography experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible!
