While there are numerous options for maternity sessions in Tucson, I have a few favorites. One of these places is Sweetwater Trailhead. It’s surrounded by saguaros for as far as the eye can see. The green tones of the desert absolutely shine behind my stunning clients, thanks to my bright and airy approach. Sweetwater Trailhead also leads into the Tucson Mountains, giving your session a true Tucson feel. While getting into the saguaros requires some walking, my guests have told me that the little trek (around 5 minutes) is well worth it.
Melissa contacted me after seeing the photographs I took of her closest friend (which you can see here), and I leaped at the chance to photograph her maternity sessions. Because I adore maternity sessions and will always have a soft spot in my heart for them. Melissa and her husband are expecting their first son, but their third kid. From the moment I met Melissa and Brooks, I could tell they were ecstatic to be embarking on this new chapter of their lives together. Brooks was the perfect gentleman, holding Melissa’s hand the entire walk to the location. He was constantly just out of frame to offer comfort or to hold her drink in between shots.
