Moving away from artificial posing, I look for the unscripted truth—the tiny yawns, the way they curl into your chest, and the luminous glow of new parenthood. It is a blend of a fine-art eye and a mother’s heart, creating imagery that feels as gentle and timeless as the season itself.

My philosophy is rooted in the idea that these fleeting moments deserve to be honored with stillness, patience, and a luminous perspective. I move away from the noise of the world to create a sanctuary where your family can simply exist in the light. I lead with a steady, quiet energy, allowing the rhythm of the session to be dictated by your baby’s needs. By focusing on organic connection and the softest, natural light. 1. The Discovery Call
We move beyond 'what to wear' and into 'how you want to feel.' I provide a personal styling experience, helping you select flowing, textural pieces from the Mandy Rena Client Closet that catch the light and celebrate your silhouette.
2. The Style Consultation
The Arizona landscape is a masterpiece in its own right. Based on our vision, I scout a specific sanctuary, a sun-drenched trail, or a quiet desert vista, where the light is softest, and the environment feels like yours alone
3. The Location Edit
A week before we meet, I’ll send you a curated 'Exhale' guide. This handles all the final details, from timing and hair to managing siblings or pets, so that by the time you arrive at the desert's edge, your only job is to be present.
4. The Session Preparation
Guided by a steady, quiet energy, we spend an hour chasing the golden hour. There is no pressure to perform. I facilitate 'un-posed' moments of connection, allowing your natural radiance and the desert’s glow to tell the story.
5. The Ethereal Session
Back in the studio, the technical meets the artisanal. I meticulously hand-select the most emotive frames and apply a luminous, film-inspired edit that preserves the airy, timeless quality of our session.
6. The Fine Art Curation
Your memories deserve a beautiful debut. You’ll receive an invite to a private, high-end digital gallery where you can experience your story for the first time. It’s a moment of reflection, seeing the strength and beauty of the life you’re carrying.
7. The Private Reveal
Images are meant to be held. In our final stage, I assist you in selecting the pieces that will live on your walls or in a bespoke album. We transform digital files into tangible legacies that your child will one day hold in their own hands.

what you can expect
Frequently Asked questions
Is my whole family included?
Yes! All of my sessions (maternity, newborn, baby, and family) are for your entire immediate family attending.
Do you offer hair and makeup?
Yes! Most of my clients choose to have hair and makeup done at the studio, which I coordinate for you with the best hair and makeup team. These fees are paid directly to each hair and makeup artist.
What days are available for sessions?
All of my shoots take place on Monday, Wednesday or Friday - most of my clients book a morning off work. I work one Saturday a month and these book up quickly.
When is the best time to schedule newborn Photos?
We recommend planning your shoot date for 7-10 days after your due date. All you need to do is let us know when baby is here and we either confirm this date, or adjust as required. It's really important to book whilst you're still pregnant to ensure availability.
When is the best time for newborn sessions?
Newborn sessions typically take place inside. Indoor the lighting is best between 9 am and 2 pm. I also recommend you plan between an hour and a half to three hours for your session.
